Practice What You Preach

Are You Practicing What You Preach?

How can we expect our children to behave as descent, law abiding citizens when we don’t behave as good citizens ourselves?  If we are arguing or fighting in the streets, robbing and murdering people, what does our children learn?  They see us do wrong and think that it is okay to do wrong.  How can we expect our children to respect others when they see us being disrespectful?

What is Your Child Learning While Watching You?

Is your child or children learning to be kind-hearted, compassionate and caring people as they watch you handle situations that arise in everyday life or are they learning to be mean and uncaring to others because they watch you being selfish and mean to others?  These are questions that we need to ask ourselves and be mindful of the fact that young children are learning how to handle life as we do.

As adults, we could or should make a conscious effort to practice what we preach and teach our children to do what is right and pleasing unto God.

Let’s Make Our World A Better Place

Let’s do good and teach our children to do good.  Give someone a hug, give an encouraging word or an unselfish gesture of kindness to someone.  A smile may be all someone needs for their day to be a little brighter.

Let’s spread God’s love wherever we go!

practice what we preach when we tell our children to do as we say and not as we do? Can I get a witness! I know that there is somebody out there that can relate to this.

As adults, we tend to say and do things that are inappropriate for young children to be exposed to. Grownup stuff is for grownups only.

Hi! I am the owner of Gospel Musicians/The Connection where I've made it my business to connect churches and gospel musicians together to create a gospel connection. I reach out to churches throughout the United States that have church music jobs available and gospel musicians that are qualified for the positions available, and then bring them together. To share a little about me, I AM A CHILD OF GOD who loves to attend Sunday School and bible study just as much as Sunday worship service. I love reciting poetry and doing short readings whether it is scriptures from the bible or poems like "Lord, Why Did You Make Me Black?", Martin Luther King's "I Have A Dream," or "The Creation" by James Weldon Johnson are just a few that I really love to do. I also love to act as narrator for plays or skits. I love to recite inspirational poems that gives people a peace of mind, happiness on the inside, joy that touches the soul and hope for a better tomorrow. I have a prayer that I pray: Jesus, Jesus, Jesus! In the name of Jesus, Have mercy on ___________(fill in the blank). As you know it doesn't take a long drawn out prayer for God to hear and answer your prayer whether you're praying for your self or for others. I have grown spiritually and my prayer is a litter deeper: "Lord wash me from the inside out, then mold me and make what you want me to be, to do what you want me to do. Use me Lord in your service". Amen
